Tab Trade - What Traders Should Know

TabTrade - The Short Version

TabTrade went live in Q1 2026. Online broker registered in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a New Zealand-regulated broker.

His background is relevant. It suggests the person running this is not figuring it out from scratch. That is not a guarantee. It is more reassuring than a random name you cannot trace.

TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same data centres prime brokers run on. The typical new launch focuses on ads and sign-up promos. TabTrade did the opposite. Not the typical playbook.

What you can trade: forex, indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, shares, crypto, ETFs. 1,000+. For a broker that launched in March 2026, that coverage is not narrow.

Platforms

You get: MT5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Two major platforms from a single account. Many pick one platform. Access to both makes a difference. Pick what suits your style.

MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Full charting, Expert Advisors, massive community. If you have used MT4 or MT5 previously, you know exactly what you are getting.

cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better DOM. More responsive charts. Built-in algo trading. Plenty of traders like it better than MT5 after using both.

FIX API is there for bots but is only on the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView charting is said to be coming. That should round things out when it lands.

What You Pay

Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. Commission-free. Simple. Zero deposit requirement. Works for beginners.

Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. Total cost: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the actual interbank spread is often a fraction of a pip. So your all-in cost can be below 0.5 pips. That is good for an offshore broker. Most brokers that offer pricing like this require a minimum deposit. TabTrade has no minimum.

VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, execution under 20ms, negotiated fees. Not for typical accounts. Ignore this one unless you trade institutionally.

How Fast Are the Fills

The speed is where Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix LD4/LD5. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. Those are proper execution targets. The average platform operate at 100ms to 300ms.

Does it matter? If you scalp, absolutely. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you swing trade, you will not notice. The point is they invested in proper execution. That is they are not cutting corners on the tech.

Combine that execution speed with the Edge account pricing and the overall offering makes sense. Not many platforms with no minimum deposit have infrastructure at this level.

Safety

Here is the part that requires honesty. TabTrade is licensed by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is offshore. No CySEC. No government-backed safety net. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a problem for you, stop reading. There are FCA-regulated options out there.

But. Benjamin Boulter came from BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement costs real money. Scam brokers do not invest in Equinix connectivity. That does not make it safe. But inform your decision.

The trade-off: you trade regulatory safety. In exchange: high leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether that is worth it depends on you.

Deposit Bonus

Tab Trade offers a welcome bonus of up to $2,000. Typical deposit match. You deposit, they add bonus funds. The normal fine print: trading volume requirements before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Review the fine print before you deposit.
