TabTrade Review - A Look at This New CFD Broker

The Broker — What It Is

Tab Trade opened in Q1 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, licensed through the FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.

That last detail tells you something. It says the founder knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. But preferable to a founder with no industry background.

TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix data centre access in London. Same data centres prime brokers run on. Usually a new brokerage focuses on ads and sign-up promos. These guys led with infrastructure. Not the typical playbook.

Market coverage: FX, stock indices, metals, commodities, stock CFDs, crypto, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For a broker that launched in March 2026, the breadth is not narrow.

What You Trade On

They offer: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Two major platforms from one account. Many only give you one or the other. Access to both makes a difference. You are not locked into one.

MT5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, automated trading, huge user base. If you have traded on MetaTrader previously, there are no surprises.

cTrader is the alternative. Better depth of market. Smoother chart interaction. cBot support. A lot of traders find it more natural once they try it.

Direct FIX connectivity is offered for algo traders but needs the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView charting is reportedly on the roadmap. That would round things out once it is live.

Costs

Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. Zero commission. Simple. $0 to start. Good for people who want simple pricing.

Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the raw spread is often a fraction of a pip. Meaning your real cost can be below 0.5 pips. That is hard to beat for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most brokers that have spreads this tight require a minimum deposit. This broker requires zero deposit.

VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, custom pricing. Not for the average person. Do not worry about it unless you move real size.

Infrastructure

The speed is the thing Tab Trade separates from most new launches. Equinix servers in London. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are proper execution targets. Most retail brokers quote 100ms to 300ms.

Does it matter? If you trade small timeframes, it does. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you swing trade, you will not notice. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That signals what kind of broker this is.

Combine that execution speed with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the overall offering makes sense. Few brokers at this price point run Equinix connectivity.

Safety

Here is the part that matters. Tab Trade is licensed by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. There are tier-1 alternatives out there.

However. The founder spent years at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement costs real money. Fly-by-night platforms do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. This does not replace tier-1 regulation. But be part of your decision.

The deal: no FCA or ASIC safety net. In exchange: 1:1000 leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether this deal works is your call.

Deposit Bonus

Tab Trade has a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Typical welcome offer. You fund your account, they add bonus funds. Standard terms apply: turnover conditions before bonus funds can be taken out. Review the fine print before funding.
